UPDATED FEB 7th - Fishing in the canyon section of the Truckee remains excellent as most people are choosing to hit the slopes rather than the river. Fewer people on the river means less fishing pressure and higher catch rates.

Pyramid Lake has really switched on in the last week as winter conditions take hold here. The fish have been taking a variety of flies and methods and having a rod rigged with sinking line as well as a rod rigged with floating line will be a great way to mix up tactics and see what is working that day.Â
