Umpqua Paraspinner

The Umpqua Paraspinner is an exceptionally visible and durable dry fly pattern designed to imitate the spent-wing mayfly spinner, which is the vulnerable, post-mating stage of the adult insect. Unlike traditional spinners, this fly incorporates a high-visibility parachute post that aids the angler in tracking the fly, while the trimmed parachute hackle still maintains the low, flush-sitting profile of a dying mayfly on the water's surface. It is particularly effective during the late afternoon or evening spinner falls when trout are actively feeding on these helpless, spent insects.
