The Umpqua Barry's Carp Biter, designed by carp fly fishing pioneer Barry Reynolds, is a highly effective nymph/bug imitation for one of freshwater's most difficult species. The Rust color is particularly effective at imitating small crawfish or molting aquatic insects that are a favorite food of carp. The design incorporates dispersed weight and multiple rubber legs for a slow, subtle "crawling" action when retrieved, which is critical for presenting to wary, bottom-feeding carp.
